11 Days!!

I can't believe we are only 11 days away from meeting little Kash. That is of course if he doesn't decide to make an early appearance. Since my surgery is April 10th that means that Easter is right around the corner. We found this adorable little outfit to visit family in
I also found the perfect diaper bag after taking just a couple things back to Target from the baby shower. It is stocked and ready for the hospital. His closet is fixed and his personalized storybook is waiting in the nursery chair ready for some bed time stories with mommy and daddy. We are so excited I can't take it.

Just a little...Upside Down

We made it to 37 weeks! Whoo! Full Term! I made sure Keith could come to my appointment because it was time for a final ultrasound. This way the Dr can predict size, weight, and presentation of Kash. We knew from my 30 week appointment that little man was breech but he still had plenty of time to turn. Now that we have reached full term and he's already weighing in around 8lbs the odds of him turning at this point are slim.

So now what?...
My Doctor offered to perform a procedure called External Cephalic Version.. AKA I can drug you up and try to manually flip your child with my hands from the outside, at the hospital of course in case the babies heart rate slows or we rupture the placenta THIS way we can have an emergency csection.

EXCUSE ME?? What??
No thank you..

I'm not one to complain of a "natural delivery". I don't care how my baby gets into this world as long as it's safe. Some say frozen pees on top will direct the baby downward, or try lying on an ironing board upside down at a slant. Music, Chiropractors, flashlights. It all seems a bit crazy to me.

As a team, Keith and I decided to go along with a scheduled csection. It will be on April 10th at 7:30am. I'll be 39 weeks at this point. This way Kash will stay put as long as possible but still early enough to avoid going into labor with him in a breech position.

I'll admit I'm nervous, but beyond happy to know that in just 13 short days we will be a family :)

How Far Along-36 weeks (9 MONTHS)
How Big is the Baby18.5 inches
Total weight gain/loss- 38 lbs
Stretch marks- No new ones, trying to hang in there 3 more weeks!
Maternity Clothes- Maternity everything. Still lots of stretchy shirts and cardigans.
Favorite moment this week- The baby shower was definetly the best. The nursery is filled with adorable new clothes  and toys! Trying to get everything organized, but we are about 98% ready for this little guy.
Miss Anything- My wedding rings! Just this past week I've started getting swelling in my ankles and hands.  I'm afraid of getting my rings stuck on my poor little sausage fingers.
Movement: Stronger than ever. The flutters and kicks are now big turns and pushes. It's crazy watching my belly move all day. Kash is still breech so his head is up in my rib cage which is VERY uncomfortable.
Food cravings- apple slices. It started as an appetizer at my baby shower and now it's a full blown addiction. I guess it could be worse things ;)
Anything making you queasy or sick- Still a lot of heartburn and indigestion. I don't think after this month I'll ever be able to look at Tums again. They say heartburn means lots of hair. I just may give birth to a chew baca.
Have you started to show yet-YES. Now that he is gaining .5 LB a week it seems like I'm bigger every morning. People at work comment every day too. I'm clearly growing a human.
Gender- Boy...Side Note, one of my
patients bought Kash a pink blanket and pink dress. She swore it was a girl! I felt terrible.. But I took it back and bought him an adorable Easter outfit ;)
What I'm looking forward to- My weekly visits have started at the Doctor. Hopefully I'll get another ultrasound soon to check on his size before he is born.
Belly button in or out- Half in, Half out.

Showered With LOVE

It all seems so real now. My mom, cousin and sister in law put together an amazing baby shower for Kash and I. I feel beyond blessed. People have birthdays and other celebrations, but the feeling of the special people in your life celebrating and supporting your new family is a unexplainable. We obviously stuck with Kashs nautical nursery theme as well. Here are some pictures from our day yesterday! I'm exhausted :)
